kerry i think it is a smith sight bunt not sure. if you did not like the smith buff classic sight with the mounting block, you could get the std smith long range buckhorn ladder sight with a peep hole slider and remove the dovetail and mount it with a screw as in the pic . as fore windage just fit a windage beech or globe front sight,ithink it would look realy good.

From the picture, I thought that it might be an old Martini or Lee Enfield sight or something like that!
And what with y'all being an Ozzie.... I thought maybe you'd cobbled together something like that.

kerry i will be getting a smith sight fore the buff classic with the mounting block i will just modify it to make windage essayer, by loosening the dovetail and fitting a set screw.
