Jerkface and I went to the range today for a shooting session. Unfortunatly it blew up a terrible storm. Soaking us our guns and worst of all blowing away my bacon cheddar hot fries.Forcing us to hide out in the range bathroom.
We did however get to shoot a few rounds over the chrony. The first one was a 340 grain bear creek round nose flat point moly coated cast bullet. Loaded with 10 grains of unique. The average velocity was 1024fps. With an extreme spread of 58fps. This load penetrated 4" of very soggy gun magazines. With my aim centered firmly on colonel boddingtons articles.
The second load was a 300 grain gold dot. Loaded with 42 grains of H-110. The average velocity was 2009fps. This load penetrated 6 inches of soaked gun mags.
Accuracy can not be commented upon do to the fact that about the time we got it sighted in the skies opened up and began to drench us blowing away our chrony gun cased the afore mentioned hot fries and all the targets. It even blew jerkfaces full box of 300 win mag off the table. Did i mention it was windy? Luckily the range has invested in a cinderblock bathroom.
