Lube with triple 7 powder

I've been using SPG to lube my bullets in 45/7 with black powder. Been thinking of trying 777, since this is not a black powder and creates less fouling, would alox suffice as a bullet lube. Appreciate your thought

I have not used Alox with anything except smokeless. 777 is cleaner and it is not BP but it is not smokeless. It has some soot and residue but not hard fouling. Bottom line. try it and see and then let us know. I use the same lube with 777 as I do with holy black. JB

Steve,
In my experience, using alox lube on my .44-40 bullets worked very well with 777.
Have fun,

In my .44-40 Henry I use regular factory cast/lubed bullets and 777. Great accuracy and soft fouling. Cleanup takes three patches and 10 minutes. No leading, no hard fouling.
