With all that has been going on lately with the other avenues of information( do ya like my pc'ness) I was sittin here at the confuser thinking " Man I dont want to go look around at the other boards anymore"  So what do I do,   I call my pard Pecos on the phone out there in California.  I sure needed that,  sometimes its nice to chat with a friendly voice.  We talked about his new reloading machine( I hope he bought the misses something nice) talked about gettin together to shoot someday, talked about kids, dogs, cookin, you name it.   I am greatful for this board and the people here.  All of you are courtious, thoughtfull, respectful, and just all together good folks.   We may not be on the cuttin edge of the sport but I think folks could learn alot here.  The cowboy spirit lives on especiall here.
I think we owe a debt of grattitude to the Marshall, Cheyenne Ranger, Butler Ford, Holiday, and anyone else I hope I didnt miss, for making the Cowboy Action Shooin area a great place to be.

Thanks again to everyone that has shared with me and answered my stupid questions. Shared equipment with me and for being my friend.

Ok enough of the mushy stuff.  Ill be away from the confuser this weekend.  I have to cook for a Cubscout banquett.

Your pard

Heyya Ya'll

I agree!! I join DB in thankin those who have helped to provide a venue wherein honest questions can be asked, and meaningful answers are given.  Everyone that I have electronically conversed with on this board has exhibited the "Cowboy Way".....
Thanks.

Oh yeah, DB and I discussed the idea of finding a rather central location and a SASS shooting event where several of us on this board could shoot together.  Think about it, and if you have any ideas on how to go about puttin it together let em fly!

Currently I am thinking of July and August as months that I would be able to travel.  Of course doing this sort of thing with a large number of people can be difficult to set up...maybe collectively we can figure somethin out.  Let us know.

I"ve  got to agree  with and add my thanks to  Marshell Greybeard  for this  board as  well...  I"ve been in CAS  for over 15 years now been reading the SASS Wire  as  long as  its  been online.. With  all the  infighting and bickering goin on  there I had  decided  to  leave CAS... I heard about  this board there and decide to  check it  out...  Now I"m  new here and don't say a  lot  but    damm its  good  to see  some real  post ,with  real  questions and good or honest answers.... Seems  when you  all you   ever  read is   bickering and  fighting and flames it makes  me  anyway  want   to  find a  new  sport...  At least here I  can  enjoy  the post and  hell  even learn a  few   things.. I may not  be as  active as I  once  was  but at least  I"m  still in  the game...  Thanks  to    the Marshell and  all of  you good  folk  out there..

D.B., I've enjoyed your getting started and keeping us informed of your progress.  I have always gotten a grin or giggle from your diary, and always look forward to your next installment.

Montana, there is another Montana on this forum, I guess you found that out when you had to add your SASS #,  When I saw the name I thought it was you.  I sent the fellow a long PM asking how he was when we were gonna shoot again, blah, blah, blah.  Never got an answer from him. Guess he thought I'd already taken a long mental walk on a short pier.

I just want to make sure this time!   :-D   You ARE the Montana residing in south central Ky?  I thought so, I recognized the SASS number.

I know your not too bashful to introduce yourself, but I'll help ya along some :)

If any of you remember my talking about a Stagecoach gun cart, it belongs to this man, not that "the cart makes the man", but gives ya an idea of how he goes about cowboy shooting.  I happen to know he's very knowledgable,  and willing to help newbies, and old hands alike. Glad your here, and Welcome! :D

Yup the other Montana is my good friend Dan frum the great state of Montana. He drove all the way frum up thar down to southern MS to join in with us at the 2nd Annual Annual Inter-Gallatic, long range, rifle and pistol shooting, Bar-B-Que eating and Chug-a-lug Contest for the Championship of the Entire non-Arabic Speaking Nations of the World (honest that's the name uv it). We pegged him wid dat name at the 2nd annual and it stuck. He's been known on my site by that name ever since.

Any how glad ta have ya join us. The theme for my entire site and it is a HUGE site is friendly, easy going helpful folks. Don't put up with the other kind for long. Life's too short to be miserable. So them folks what wants to be miserable and make the rest of us like them find little reason to tarry here. As a result I think I've gained a real good following of really nice folks posting on the site. Hope ya like it here.
