I can make out the snake----big snake----but what is that it has a hold of? Cant make it out?
I like to make bullets, handload, shooting of all types, hunting, fishing, taking pictures, reading, grandchildren, 4 wheeling, eating out often.

Blowing up the image shows that the snake has ahold of the face of a mammal.  The ears, short front legs and long rear legs indicate a kangaroo-like animal.

If that snake can manage to swallow that roo, it shouldn't need another meal for a month or so.

looks to be a wallaby and a water python.  i doubt it is a fake;  looks real enough to me.   what a perfect hiding spot for a snake- he blends right in with the natural weathering of the rock face.

great pic.

Does look like a restrictor of some kind. If it is, usually they strike, squeeze
kill and then swallow on the spot. At least that`s the way they show it on TV.
As the "unknown" is wet and the snake is higher up on a ledge makes me wonder if this thing was dead already and the snake found it or it`s part of it`s food given to it by Zoo folks. Without a full explaination about the picture i guess all theories are plausable.
