just returned from the lanfley ranch and shot me a nice boar with my CVA hunter eclipse. caliber was 50 caliber i was using 2 777 50 gr pellets 240 gr TC cheap shot bullets with the mag sabots and using the remington primers. ive been toying with the idea of black powder for awhile and picked up this gun on clearance at a pawnshop with a bushnell 4x scope for 64.00 took it home cleaned it up and bought several diffent bullets i really like the groups i am getting with the tc cheap shot bullets less than an inch at 50 swabbing between shots very little recoil. after reading on several sights that people like the 300 gr xtp for heavier stuff i went with the lighter bullet as they were only 3.99 per 20 at cablas. i decide against powerbelts and pemium bullts as i really enjoy shooting this gun alot and wanted to keep it somewhat economical. ill be working with loose powder next. i also heard that being maid in spain most people think it is not wise to shoot 150 gr loads out of this cva, for once i listend and thought i will never shoot past 75 yards so i didnt need the extra recoil or cost. ill tell you i am impressed with the perfomance of these bullets i killed a cull hog of over 100 lbs and complete passthrough both sholders. the big hog was shot at 12 yards smacking through both shoulders breaking the offside leg destroying lungs ending up protruding on the offside skin almost exited the recovered led cheapshot perfectly mushroomed to .75 caliber didnt weigh it but i was impressed not sure what my hog weighed ill let yall guess
