More scope ring questions
« on: September 29, 2005, 02:18:31 AM »
I am waiting on my 2 new barrells from NEF.  I will be getting a 20 ga ultra slug barrell and a 45-70 barrell.  I have 2 simmons whitetail expedition 2.5-7x32 scopes waiting for the new barrells.  I am planning on Burris zee rings but am unsure of the hight.  Can I get away with low rings or will I need medium or even higher to clear the hammer extension?  Thanks for all the help.

I've had to use medium rings on most of my Handi's, a few needed high mount, but I use Leupie  and Weaver quad rings........

With Burris rings you will need at least the medium to clear the eye bell with the hammer.  You may need to go with high if the scope has a large eyebell.  Larry
