As you knopw I purchased a 12" Encore in 454 the same time you and I made the trade for the 6BR.
First off you have a 445 Super mag in a contender.
I have a super mag in a 10" tube for my contender.
Your 445 Has more felt recoil than a Encore with a 12" 454
You will find that the 454 and the super mag are close in both balistics and powder capacity.
My encore is Heavier than my contender and the Contender has more BITE.
If you look in the reloading manuals you will see that the are almost one in the same.
So run out and BUY a Encore barrel Quickly You do need both don't you?
Now I am comparing 300 grain bullets in both.

Hurry go get one
You will enjoy it as much as you do your super mag.
