the Glorious 15th willbe here and that means the New Hampshire moose hunt will be opening.

I feel the nip in the air this morning as I awoke from my slumber. I will be thinking about that all the time before I leave for that trip.

Good luck on the hunt. My brother bagged one last fall in the White Mountain National Forest just a few hundred yards off of the Kancamagus highway. Too bad for him he lives in an apartment and I've got a chest freezer in the basement. I wasn't on the hunt but I enjoyed the moose as if I was!

I think I am ready this year for any potential long range shots. I shot the .375 JDJ at the range ( my friends club, our range is still closed) and sighted it in at 125 yards. I was able to hit the target at 200 yards off the bench and using my Storey Point Pole Cat shooting stick.

I plan to shoot five or ten shots each day after work for practice. This should do the trick for the moose hunt.
