Saw a 99M-1 today
« on: October 02, 2005, 12:24:15 PM »
It was in a sketchy gun store. They wanted $119 for it, which seemed like a whole lot to me. The gun was in bad shape also it looked like a 5 year old had been using it. The wood was all beat up, and scratched. The only thing good about it was the action. Still nice and smooth. No rust. No acessories. Is this worth $119?
Go out and get yourself a Concealed Weapons License. I did. :gun4:

I think thats a little steep. One in really good shape should run you from $100.00-$150.00 up here in New York.it should have a factory peep sight that went on the scope rail. That will run you at least $30.00 for the original sight.

I see 99M1's at the north Florida gunshows for $75, and I bought mine for that, in good condition.  A pawnshop might try to get $100, but it would need to be in VG or better, and you'd need to want one.  Functionally, it's just a fancy Model 60.  Those rear sights are very difficult to find!
