I just got a new compound bow with fiber optic sights and someone told me that i need to put a peep sight on.Before i do that i would like to have some suggestions as to whether i need to or not.Another question i have is does the caulk feather face the bottom or top of arrow when set up on the bow.Your help would be very much appreciated .This is my first time on this forum and has sure helped me alot just reading other post.

I would recommend a peep with any type of sight on a compound. They are pretty much fool proof, and are only going to help in the accuracy department. Make sure you get a hunting model as opposed to a target version. The difference is the larger hole, lets more light through in the woods.
The position of the cock feather on the arrow pretty much depends on the type of arrow rest you are using.
And welcome to the forum!:D

i quit shooting with a peep as i wanted an un obstructed view of the animal, also i was tired of tying them in  then slipping.  ive been shooting without a peep for over a year 11 hogs and 4 deer and a couple of rabbits l;ater  ill nevr go back.  the main thing without using a peep is to have a consistant anchor point  i have two of them the center of my nose and the corner of my mouth

dgame, welcome to Graybeard.

I use a large peep with my sights. I could not imagen ever not using one. I have never had to adjust mine and it never comes out. My buddy just started shooting with a peep this year and he said he never shot a well as he does now.  :D
