Winchester Model 1200?
« on: October 03, 2005, 07:16:28 AM »
This is my first shotgun. I picked it up from a guy for what I think is a fair price (140.00). The gun is excellent shape as it is still in the factory box and wrapped in the original anti-rust paper. My questions are: Does anyone have any experience with this shotgun. The barrel is a 30" vented rib with a full choke and is stamped 3". Can I shoot 2-3/4 inch shells in it? Thanks for any info you have.

Great gun and a collector to many. Yes you can use 2 3/4 and 3" shells in it. If you are using it for hunting check your state regs. We have to plug ours so that it will only fit 2 shells in the magazine. This is easily done by inserting a dowel.

Nice shotgun I just picked up a riot gun that is a 1200 for 130 bucks (2.75 shells only)  and I thought I got a good deal. You got a real good deal congrats!!
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.
