New Encore Prices

I decided I needed a Encore 15" Stainless in .308.  Our only source in town says he can get me one for $525 new.

Does that sound like a fair price?  Mind you, I am 325 miles from the nearest major city in Alaska.

I was in a gun store here in casper and they had 2 encores.  1 was a stainless 7mm-08. The frame was priced at $269 and the barrel(15") was priced at  around $250. Sounds like you're getting a fair price considering where you are.

I just bought my first Encore 2 days ago. Stainless frame and 15" 308 barrel. Paid $270 for the frame, and $229 for the barrel in Warrenton, Mo.
Just finished the first time shooting this set-up, and I must say that I'm impressed. On top of the accuracy, it's just plain fun.
