Marlin Model 336 A 30-30 with BALLARD rifling.

Picked one of these up with an imaculate bore in about 90% condition today for about $250.00.  It has a very long barrel and nice buckhorn rear and covered front sights.   What is this rifle worth?  It feels as though it was made for me.  I am going to load some 150gr lead flat points for it.   If anyone has any good loads for these as of my last post feel free to make suggestions.

Man this rifle is nice!!  Oh yeah the barrel extends past the mag nearly a foot!

If you're going to shoot cast bullets in it, measure the bore first. My new ballard rifled cowboy 336 is a perfect fit for .303  bullets - bore is .3025, grooves are .311. It's absolutely worthless with 30 caliber cast bullets, but shoots extremely well with larger ones designed for the .303.
