Who makes this stock?
« on: October 04, 2005, 06:50:02 AM »
On OTT's site (On Target Technologies) there are these two pictures of an Encore (or Contender) rifle and I was wondering who made the stocks.  I sent an email to OTT, but no reply.

I checked OTT's links page to see if there was a custom shop that made these stocks, but nothing matched the pictures. I've also checked EABCO and Boyd's, but to no avail.  Just curious if any of you could recognize the stock manufacturer.

I really like how it appears more like a rifle stock intead of the exaggerated pistol grip common with T/C stocks.

Note stock pictures are the first image (gray stock) on this page  and the last one (brown stock).  You need to scroll down after going to the page to see the images.  I'd appreciate any help.  Thanks.

Check www.gunstocksinc.com or Ole Georgia Jim, it could be one of theirs (though Ole Georgia Jim does only Contender/G2 pistol grips and forends).

I agree Ole Georgia Jim only has pistol stocks and Gunstocks Inc shows only thumbhole stocks.  It seems to be from someone else.

I agree that the stock is nice to look at, but I wonder how well it puts your eye in line with the scope.  It seems to be a little low even for iron sight use.  Then again, looks can be deceiving.  Good luck in your search.

Gunstock inc. sells more than just thumbhole stocks.  You can get factory style, factory style with roll-over cheekpiece, standard thumbhole, stinger thumbhole, and the big grip (two-handed pistol grip).

Well, I'm willing to bet that those are Boyd's Laminates (Pepper and Nutmeg). I bought mine (Nutmeg) from EABCO, and frankly I can't tell any difference in the grip angle between that picture, and the one I'm looking at.
