I just got my .22 hornet barrel from NEF.  It really looks super!  It is a lot better blue job than my 30-30 barrel.  Im really impressed with how smooth the barrel is...the 30-30 barrel I have looks like the feed on the lathe was way too fast, very rough (much like my sidekick).  Ive been calling NEF every other day (they are really nice and must be some sick of hearing from me) because Im going moose hunting with my brother this weekend and wanted to take the hornet with me to play with!  They did a super job and got the rifle to me with 2 days to spare.  VERY pleased with everything from NEF and look forward to trying out my hornet.  What a country!  Send a gun in and get a new barrel/caliber for 87.00!  Ya gotta love it!

:D I can't help but be curious, is the barrel 20" or 22". The reason I'm so curious is I've sent mine for a Hornet barrel and last time I called all they had were the 20's. Have fun with your Hornet and hope you get a big Moose.  8)

Hopefully the 22'' will be in soo I am waiting as well :cry:  Maybe it will have an extractor :grin:  & I will not have to chase down my itty bitty brass

wait till your on a P. dog shoot, and every one of those
 little buggers goes in a Prickly Pear Clump. no fun
 What is real bad is they 219 Zipper, all hand made
 from 30-30 or 25-35 brass. Marv.

Contacted H&R they do not know if there 22in barrels in 22 hornet have the extractor or ejector ??? until they get them in no ETA :(
