anyone have a 10 inch contender/encore? i am wondering what the velocities out of a 45 auto in a 10 inch barrel might be? anyone run one over a chrony?

Send me a barrel and several boxes of factory loads and I run them over my chrono.
I promise to get the barrel back to you in 6-8 months.

I have an 45 ACP in both Contender (10')and Encore(15") but don't have a chrony. Just trying to work up and loads now. They are fun to shoot. Have not got a load that will put 5 shots in one hole yet. Hope too.

i guess that surprises me, considering the accuracy i get out of my 1911. i figured the 45 and the contender or encore would be a really interesting combo.

I have a .45 Win Mag 10" which I often download to .45 ACP for plinking. Loads which are listed at 900 fps chromo at about 1050 fps. I can't say this is real accurate because of the case size difference, but I hope it helps.
