« on: October 05, 2005, 03:25:05 PM »
I was hunting about 30 minutes ago.......................................I stood up and was just about to leave..............................but noticed three does walking my way......................after they went behind some trees I came to full draw.......when they came out they were only 7 yards away......BUT I COUDN"T SEE MT SIGHT PINS THROUGH MY PEEP SIGHT...........................it was just to dark..........................they saw me but couldn't make me out......... I wish i would have been able to shoot.......but didn't want to wound one.........................well anyway....................it was a rush...............first time I ever pulled a bow on an animal. Have any of you ever drawn back and it was to dark to see your pins ?

thanks

No, but you did the right thing not to shoot - not that you could have sanely taken a shot anyway.  There is no need to attempt a risky shot and cause an animal to be lost or poorly hit.

You'll get another chance...at least you are seeing deer!

Cheers,
Gary

I use the large peep sight, I don't have that problem.  :D
