77/22 VHZ trigger question
« on: October 07, 2005, 10:41:24 AM »
Aside from the weight and the horrible overtravel on the trigger pull I really like the gun. Can somebody post a pic of where the overtravel stop is commonly placed on this trigger? I know CPC does it so it must be possible.

thanks.

77/22 VHZ trigger question

In my opinion, the best solution is to get a replacement trigger for it and DIY.  I just did my VHZ with a Rifle Basix trigger, and installation was simple.  It says it is adjustable from 14oz. to 2.5lbs. and mine breaks at 2lbs. 13oz., according to the trigger pull gauge.

I have two 77/22s one in L.R.& one in hornet the L.R. was one of the first out and the pull was a crisp 3lb with little over travel. the hornet was two years later and the trigger was over my scale which is 5lb. max.& length of pull was forever. I gave it to my gunsmith and it is now a crisp 3 lb.he charged me $30.00 now both guns feel the same and will group M.O.A.with most ammo. :-)  :-)  :-)
