WANENMACHER TULSA GUN SHOW
« on: October 08, 2005, 02:56:26 PM »
OK you mortar and cannon shooters, anyone going to the HUGE Wanenmacher Tulsa Gun Show which takes place two weeks from this weekend (on Oct 22 & 23rd).  There is always some black powder mortars and cannon there and have seen some in a very reasonable price range.  I was interested in a couple but waited a little too long and they were gone.  If you do contemplate attending, be sure to wear some very comfortable shoes, take a pen & paper to make a note of the location of something of interest or you'll never find it again.  I'll be taking a one inch field cannon to see if I can generate some interesting conversations or maybe swap for a mortar.  Anyone even fairly close to Tulsa should make an effort to attend.  There are 3,800 (three thousand eight hundred) tables loaded with guns, ammo, reloading stuff and associated shooting stuff.  Try it, you may just like it.
(oh yeah, I'll take an mty powder can along just in case I want to photograph a nice mortar or cannon -- OK there D.D.?)

3,800 tables -

AWESOME!

That's almost in the category of having to make a pilgrimage.

If you EVER make that pilgrimage, be sure to let me know way ahead of time so some arrangements can be made.  OK?

Don't forget to take a BP can along for the pictures.
I may not be completely sane, but at least I don't think I have the power to influence the weather.

Tim, I can personally guarantee it's worth the trip and if you really have a close relative there, it'd really be especially enjoyable for you.  If you are serious about making the journey for the October show or even the Spring show, please keep me posted.  I'll be there!

Jeepers Creepers, I presume you were suggesting for CW to take the BP can along with him for pictures.  You know that I don't go ANYWHERE without my mty BP can. I may just run into ole DD sometime/somewhere and won't pass his inspection if I am without that mty can..:)  :)
