Does anyone have a pet load for there 223 encore rifle?
I'm looking to start loading for Mine soon, was looking for a good place to start..   Will mostly be using for Coyotes, fox, and groundhogs.  was thinking 50gr bullets..

I  AM USING  25GR WIN POWDER WITH 50 GR SPEER BULLETS.
I CAN COVER MY GROUPS OF 100 YARDS WITH A DIME. 5 SHOT GROUPS.
I TRIED OTHER LOADS.  THIS IS MY BEST.

GOOD LUCK. :D

I picked up one of the 26 inch Encore heavy barrel several years ago and had a heck of a time getting it to shoot good, best groups were about 1.5 inches, I was about to trade it off and my buddy said try some of these 40 gr. V-Max and H335 powder.
I settled on a loading of 27 gr. of H335 under a 40 gr. V Max(THIS LOADING IS SAFE IN MY GUN, CHECK MANUALS AND WORK UP LOADS IN YOUR GUN)
This load in my gun shoots under .50 if I hold it steady, best group so far measured .385 center to center. Needless to say this barrel's not going anywhere now.
