I don't know if I can get it from that one clue, Ace.  Was he from New York?   If so then I know.  If not I'll need other clues.

'Yup Old Coon, NY is his home state.  Another clue: he was/is well known for hunting lures as well as trapping lures.  Ace

 Hey Asa what brothers were responsible for the demise of 10,000 coyotes?They were from Miles City Mt.
I love the smell of coyote gland lure early in the morning.It smells like victory!!

Yes coyotero, Pete Rickard is the guy.  Just recently Oscar Cronk wrote a book about pete titled "The Legendary Fox."  I'm not sure if Rickard's trapping lures are still being sold or only his famous Indian Buck Lure.  Anyone know?
