After receiving a new barrel, installing a "Kick-Eez" recoil pad and refinishing the stock, I was anxious to get the Elite 3200 sighted in. I installed the O ring and removed the hammer extension. I also took care to rest on the action.
First the good news: The 115 grain Recoil Manage loads from Remington shot real well and probably had about a 2" group in a gusty wind fired fairly rapidly. I am sure they will do much better. After moving from 50 (where I got it on the bull) to 100yards, I only had six shots left.
The bad news is the full throttle Federal 130 Power Point loads were all over the paper. I suppose I will try some other full Factory loads, but hoped those would be close. A friend has used them for the past couple of years with great results on whitetail, axis and hogs.
I don't reload, so I suppose I will keep trying to find another factory load it likes besides the "half-recoil" loads. By the way, the felt recoil of the Federals is much more than my .260 with 140 loads. The light loads felt much like a .243 with 80 grains.
