...Old Jessie is at it again..

Brit Hume reports tonight on FOX news:

Jessie Jerkson is angry that many of the people getting jobs rebuilding New Orleans are illegal Hispanic immigrants..
Jessie figured he'd fix that...so he hired a bus and tried to pick up a batch of former New Orleans residents to put to work there and crowd those Mexicans out !

When Jessie arrived with his bus in New Orleans...he had three people on board that were willing to work ... two of them were Hispanic !!

The mayor of New Orleans  was quoted in the local paper as saying to local business leaders," How do i ensure that New Orleans is not overrun by Mexican workers?" Good question.
Also in the article was, " There is a don`t ask don`t tell, mentality right now", and there doesn`t seem to be any effort to crack down on illegal immigrants. What`s new on the account?
The I-N-S should stand for ..........   " I`m not sure," as in, i`m not sure where anybody is.
The kicker on all this is, again a quote," They`re making so much money
they( illegals) are thinking of staying".  Staying!
Plus, a historian at Tulane University( same article) said," It only takes a few people to put down roots and begin the chain of migration. I`m wondering if we`re seeing the first signs of a population swap?"
Old Vi-cent-ty Fox must  fallen off his burro at that good news.

By all reports the biggest problem they have is finding SKILLED labor for the rebuilding ,

Why would a skilled craftsman from the the north or west  want to go down south for 14.00 to 16.00 dollars an hour when they can make twice that much up north .

Until they bring the pay scale up to LIVABLE standards this will be an on- going problem

Heck, if they cut off welfare the Mexicans wouldn't be able to find work.
By & large it seems Americans are or think they are just too good to do the work the Latins do. I been saying that for years.
I see guys I knew since school crying about how the Mexicans got all the jobs now but they forget that they NEVER had one. Might be different down south but up here they get a decent wage too.

Mr. Jackson
« Reply #6 on: October 25, 2005, 09:23:06 AM »
Copy of an e-mail from a friend of mine.

Jesse Jackson, while visiting a primary school class, found himself in
the middle of a discussion related to words and their meanings.
The teacher asks the Rev. Jackson if he would like to lead the
discussion
on the word "tragedy."

So the illustrious leader asks the class for an example of a "tragedy."
One little boy stood up and offered: "If my best friend, who lives
on a farm, is playing in the field and a runaway tractor comes along
and knocks him dead, that would be a tragedy."

"No," says the Great Jesse Jackson, "that would be an accident."
A little girl raised her hand: "If a school bus carrying 50 children
drove over a cliff, killing everyone inside, that would be a tragedy."
"I'm afraid not," explains the exalted spiritual leader. "That's what
we would call a great loss."

The room goes silent. No other children volunteer. Rev. Jackson
searches the room. "Isn't there someone here who can give me example
of a tragedy?"  Finally at the back of the room a small boy raises his
hand.
In a quiet voice he says: "If a plane carrying the Rev. Jackson were
struck >by a missile and blown to smithereens that would be a tragedy."

"Fantastic!" exclaims Jackson, "That's right. And can you tell me
why that would be a tragedy?"

Well," says the boy, "because it sure as hell wouldn't be a great
loss, and it probably wouldn't be an accident either."

Enjoy
