209x45 1in28 twist
« on: March 02, 2003, 08:06:30 AM »
I just got a brand new 209x45 1in28 twist barrel for my Encore. The barrel came from the factory with some 180gr.T/C mag sabots that were reccomened for use in this barrel. The problem is that these bullets are so hard to load that even when cleaning the bore between each shot, and useing a super sturdy one peice range rod.I was only able to fire 6or so rounds before finaly getting a round stuck mid bore.I had to go home to clear the barrel.Any of you other guys haveing the same trouble?I am useing that 777powder could that be the problem?

Eb, you probably got a barrel like the one they put on mine.  It's TIGHT!! and measures about .449" on the lands.  I don't think it's the powder but you definitely will have to wet/dry swab between every shot and you might consider trying just a tad of BB, Crisco or the like on the bottom of the sabots.
WHUT?
