I'd just like to share a proving experience with my sportster. The BSA Sweet .17 also performed flawlessly. I estimated range of empty bottles at 225yrds (probably a few feet off) and set the scope to 225yrds (no wind) took one shot and drilled the bottle. did the same in full value winds and using memory from 10mph wind drift i bet 15mph but clicked 10" or so and got within a foot of the bottles (good considering i had niether wind speed or specific bullet drift). got the windage set right and got the bottles. I had other targets at 175yrds and the scope was consistant in adjustments.

some of this may seem mixed up (i was distracted by the TV)

No no no, I was watching TV while typing this and may have lost my place. the shooting was done at a farm house over a valley/creek thing.
