Valmet 412
« on: October 19, 2005, 11:51:58 AM »
I just received 12 gauge over/under barrels from Drilling Man. I am extremely happy with the barrels. Drilling man called me before he shipped it to me to tell me there was a minor blemish on the barrel about the size of a match head. I told him to ship anyway and it was just that, a very minor blemish. I did appreciate his honesty before he shipped the barrels!  I shot it this week and I actually hit (a few) clay pigeons. Before I bought the barrels I spoke at length with Drilling Man and he is a wealth of information about Valmet rifles. If anyone has any questions on Valmet's I would definitely recommend and value his opinion. Finally, if anyone has a 308/12 gauge combo for a Valmet 412 (Drilling Man??), or for that matter, any other options for the 412. (I think I'm hooked on 412's)  , I would really be interested. I'm also looking for an operations manual or a copy of an operations manual. I have tried the internet and can't find anything.  I also have a Savage 2400 in 308/12 and I like it a lot. (One can never have too many guns!)
Thanks again, Drilling Man

Im glad to hear your excited with the shotgun barrel, how did you get DM to part with it???

The 412 Manual and Gun Smith Guide are in the sticky "No Longer Published Drilling or Combo Manuals" in this manual.
