 As an old car dealer I was always aware of the possibility of buying a flood damaged car, but I never applied that to guns.

A word from the wise, if you purchase off the internet, be cautious.  I recently purchased two rifles (at a very good price) that had evidently set under water or been wet and not cleaned for several weeks.  The outside metal parts looked great, but when the wood was removed it was a different story, they were covered with rust, no pitts though.  The wood doesn't show any damage on the outside, but you can tell it has been wet.  I am going to glass bead both and re blue them.

I feel sure there are a lot (and going to be more) guns out there that went through one of the recent storms.  Just be cautious when you make a purchase. :D  :D  :D

Thanks. But unless you can handle the gun I would guess that you couldn't tell. :D
