Starvel Finish

I have a Firestar 45 with the Starvel finish...well it had the Starvel finish, but after around 15 years of constant carry it has started to disappear!

I have contacted several different "refinishers" on the internet, and they have no idea what the Starvel finish is...

Do any of you guys know of an outfit that definately does this type of refinishing?

It's my understanding that the StarVel finish is a type of electroless nickle. Any firm that handles plating should have little trouble refinishing the pistol.
