My son is 15 like to buy him a new gun, but don't want to spend to much $, CVA, or a NEW FRONTIER. Any info on these guns or anything else that would be good. Myself i have a T/C Hawkins

For the money to accuracy to build quality and ease of use, I would opt for the NEF Sidekick. These things shoot excellent and the balance is perfect and the trigger is to die for. about $150-160 in Wood/Blue, a bout $209-219 for the Synthetic/Stainless model. Jack.

NEF here also.  You could get the rifle combo. 243 and 50cal. Keep in mind you can add a muzzleloader barrel to a rifle frame but not the other way around.
Browning Illusion Bow
Omega Thumbhole .50_NEF Huntsman .50
Knight KP1 .243_Custom Rem 700 .308_Browning Safari Bar .300 WSM, Ruger No.1 30-06
Taurus .41 rem mag Raging Bull_S&W M&P 40C_Browning BuckMark .22_Savage 93R .17HMR

H&R/NEF are the same company, both owned by Marlin. They make good rifles, and the price is right. Another to look at for muzzloaders is a Knight Wolverine; it's small, lightweight, and very accurate.
Life was so much simpler when I thought I knew everything...

My vote is for the NEF Sidekick, you won't be able to beat this price anywhere that I know of on the 24" Stainless Steel/Synthetic Stock. I have seen the Blued ones go for as much money as these. Also click on the other link for the primer carriers, the price for them is VERY good with other places charging 3 to 4 times as much. The primer carriers are supposed to last 20 shots a piece, but I have shot some over 60 times just to see how long they would last. They were getting pretty washed out by that time but would have still worked.

These have very nice triggers and are very accurate like the NEF Huntsmans, mine included. They are the least fussy muzzleloader I have ever shot and I currrently own 7 (3 Whites, 2 Knights, 1 T/C and the NEF). If you would like more information, come on up to the NEF Huntsman Forum in the second block of forums from the top.

If you decide to buy one of these you may want to hurry before the flood gates open and the price goes up. This sites prices fluctuate according to the buying pressure, the more purchases the higher they go. NOW is the time to buy while they are low. Good luck!

If you want to scope it go to this link and order the scope rail with the hammer spur, top right of page. They get $10 more for per pack for the primer carriers so order them from Dallas Tactical Supply above.
