:lol: I'am looking to buy some carbon arrows. For hunting next year not sure what to buy. Beman max 4 or easton st axis. or gold tip. Never shot carbon before please help me pick.

I have only shot the Gold Tips. They are great arrows and have a few different types to choose from varying in price.

I have only used Gold Tip 5575 XT Hunter Carbon shafts. Never had one shatter or break. I will be sticking with these .

For the 2004 season I swapped to Gold Tip 5575 XT Hunter carbon shafts. That alone has reduced my total arrow weight down from 490 grains to 375 grains and I have gone up to a 70 lb draw weight ... a drop of 115 grains total weight and a 5 lb increase in draw weight had some great results to arrow speed.

Through a chronograph that increased speed from 247 fps to 283 fps.

That's outstanding in anyone's books seeing they are virtually the same price, closer tolerances and take a lot more abuse and don't bend like aluminum.

For over 20 years I shot aluminum arrows, I switch to Gold tips this year and I am very happy with the Gold tips.
