Well, the fellow next to me had one. He started bragging on his rifle and after checking his target, I could see why. He had a basic model with wood and was shooting pretty good groups at 100 with green box 80 grain. The larger 100's had shot all over the paper, according to the distance his hands were apart describing the groups. That was exactly my experience with my .243 barrel and the reason I bought a .270 barrel to replace it.
I gave him the details to find this forum, but don't know if "Dan" will bother since he is shooting so well already. He is from S. TX and a heck of a nice guy if he shows up.
Anyone else have the same experience with the lighter bullets in the .243 doing better than the 100's?
