Barneys Sourdough Slipper Overboot

http://www.barneyssports.com/itemDescription.jsp?depid=2&prodid=1209#

I came across these type of waders that slip on over regular hunting boots. They sound like a great option for the short period of time one may find himself in knee deep water.

I understand these sell to sheep hunters who need to cross a stream or 2, but I am wondering if they would be applicable for a moose hunt. By that I mean standing in water while working on a bull in say 2 foot deep water---not walking much or hunting in them.

I hate wearing regular hip waders for a week straight when I'm only in the water for a very short time. So I bought the La Crosse Alpha burley 18" boots and love 'em, but obviously I am limited in water depth. These  things sound what I want, but I need to know if they will do what I expect from them.

Does anyone here have a set of these? Your thoughts...

( I put this in the hunting/clothing gear forum, but since this appears to be an Alaska specific item, I thought it would get some play here )

I also use the Alpha Burly 18" and love them.  I also have a pair of Cabela's hip boots for the deeper streams.  While both have held up great the hip's are too tight in the ankle.

For crossing the unexpected streams....heavy duty garbage bags and some duct tape are a good alternative.  Just wrap your feet up and go.  Taking boots off works to but in some Alaskan streams the caffein runs of the water over your feet is exhrillerating.

Thanks, and good idea. I like the disposability factor, as the the garbage bags could be burned on the last night of the hunt. One less thing to pack out.

I also see that wiggys carries a similar product for $50, but alfter contacting the rep in Anc, he thinks they might not quite hold up for a moose hunt. Pretty much just stream crossings, that's it.
