Weaver T24 - not seen in Oz

These are virtually unseen in Australian shops. Where would the best place to start looking in the US be - but they must ship to Oz. Thanks Nigel.

ps what is their close-focus range. Without a range in our state I am forced to do a lot of dry-fire at scaled targets inside.

Weaver Target scopes are rarely seen in Canada as well. There's to many regulations regarding exporting scopes from the US, especially those pertained to be "military". No ones 100% sure what's legal one day to the next so most dealers won't ship anything.

Dealing with warranty issues across borders has also become a PIA. Being there is a Leupold, Bushnell warranty place in Canada most stick with those.

Personally I'd really like a lightweight T16. (anyone got one?) The 24X is too much X for me.

I'd check with one of the really big dealers like Midway. www.midwayusa.com
and see if they can export those. I know anything with a mil dot retical is forbidden, but not sure about target scopes. BTW, I just put one on my prairie dog gun and I love it! It was bought for the HP hunter I'm putting together, but I think I'll have to get another one now!
They will focus down to 50 feet, work fine across the shop.

How are users finding the tracking to be on the new T-24 scopes? I bought an "old" one shortly after they were discontinued and it has stood up perfectly to five years of heavy use on a smallbore rifle. I re-read Dan Theodore's tracking test report on ShootingPaul's website and see that he tested a T-36 but I'm not sure whether it was the "new" or the "old." I'll be in the market soon, choosing between new Weaver and Sightron.

Eroyd,
I recently purchased one of the lightweight T-16s from Blamthewind,
it's light indeed and I needed it to get in under the 9 lb rule for HPHR's with my Nesika -stocked M700.

So far, it's tracked well and optics are fine.
He had a few of these and at least one other contributor to these pages bought one as well.
Maybe he has another one.

G'Day All
             I got the other T16 off blamethewind, fwt1712 has used it and I think that's what has finally pushed him to a Weaver. The T24 would be better for him as he has a LOT less wobble than me. I like the 3/4 dot that much that I took a EFR off my FWB P70FT and put the T16 on( air rifle range is only 450metres from home).

I have three T-24's. Two of the "old" discontinued ones on SB rifles and a new model on my 2002CA Anschutz. I don't think you can buy a better scope today for the money. All of mine track perfectly and the parellax adjustments are right on the money. They will focus down to 50 ft. with no problem, and if you need to shoot 10 meters you can just simply tape a 50 ft. adapter on with electrical tape. (works for me).

 The Scope I had on the  new 7 MM BR that you shot, was a Premeier( 6.5 to 20) Boosted to 18 to 40 Vari X III 1/2 min Dot it focuses down to 10 m- same on my Feinwerkbau P70 Air ony 3/8 dot I like the 1/2 in better  your eye follows the dot. Regards phill
