Our opening day in NW Oklahoma was yesterday as well.  The best part of the state starts this Saturday.

When the cold weather comes it will be pretty good.

Sorry to hear that. I didn't get to go either. Family obligations. The boys did get out and harvest 22. All woodies and teal.

Specklebelly,
Good luck on your opener this coming weekend. Are you seeing many ducks?

SX2,
The "Boys" is a nickname I use for the guys in the duck club since they are all younger than me. Good luck this weekend. We need some mallards.

We are seeing some, but not too many in large numbers.  I am going goose hunting instead on opening day.  We landed a draw hunt on a refuge for Sat and Sun and hope to get some honkers and specks.

Sounds good.
I run from Peoria to Quincy frequently. "Dosh" is a skip away from Mt Sterling.

I basically work for myself, a lunch stop and barley pop wouldn't be the end of the world

It's money, family, freinds or draw bud.
I have no money, family's poor, friends already have a filled up place.

Cracks me up. They complain that the average age of the duck hunter is increasing. Try to recruit youth and new hunters, yet the ground shrinks like my wee wee when cold water goes over my waders.

Alternative. Don't hunt. Ain't happeni'n.
