Lil' Gun in .256 Winchester??
« on: March 03, 2003, 03:13:33 PM »
:? I've been using Lil' Gun in my Ruger 77/22 Hornet - very impressive!
Does anyone have loading data for Lil' Gun for use in my Marlin 62 - .256 Win. using 60Gr. bullets?

Here is a short on the 256 Win. He is talking of using 16 grains of Lil' Gun with a 60 grain bullet. Use at your own risk; I have no idea how he came up with the 16 grains.

looks like he used Load from a Disc and case expansion as a pressure  indicator.  Think I'll back off to 13gr and start working up. thanks for the link! :)

Here's what reloader's nest says;

   And of course, hodgdons;

   As far as Lilgun, you will probably have to do a search such as > lilgun; 256 Win Mag <   then still take any individual loads with a "grain of salt".
  I use Lilgun in my hornet (NEF) up to 13 gr and have had no problems, so long as I use the SB2 frame..
