:D I hunted T zone by where I live. I saw 6 bucks over the 4 days but only 1 doe which I did not get. I'm not going out this afternoon because I still have 14 days of gunseason between regular and muzzleloader. Not a lot of hunters out here (southeast WI).

I went back to bow hunting hunted the T zone 3 days and never connected most of land I planned to hunt was clear cut.  :x Kinda tough finding a good place when you do not hunt that area. One area that was earn a buck two years ago I never saw a deer. I did some driving around to see if I could locate some deer and never saw a one. Its been one of those seasons for me I am not seeing many deer. I hope the Rut will change that.
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

I live in the cwd DEZ and also have a place i can hunt in the HRZ. I've been hunting both places since thursday afternoon, and haven't even seen a doe or fawn to earn a buck with.    The freezer would be awful empty if Dad and I hadn't gotten our bears.

I sat in the stand for 2 hours fri, 2 on sat, and 2 again on sun, all the last 2 hours of daylight. I did not see squat untill the last minute of hunting light on sunday when 6 does were a haulin' ace. About 50 yards away. Not shootin' though, as there were to many trees between them and me

The beauty in this is now I have a reason to get out for the 9 day :)

My typical luck:

I hunted two mornings and one afternoon during T zone and all I saw were bucks.  Guess what I'll see during the regular season?

Yep I think the DNR wants all the does shot. I also think they are talking about eliminating the Oct hunt and putting it in Dec. While I liked the Oct hunt I think all T zone hunts should be eliminated for a while. This season proved to me too many does are being shot off. I cannot even get a shot bow hunting let alone the T zone hunt. By now I would have a bow kill at least if not one in the t zone hunt. Last year my bow tag went unfilled as it has been so far this year.  :x

Saw a nice six-pointer Saturday.

Flushed some woodcocks.

A good day afield.

Chances I'll see that sixer during regular season? Not holding my breath but it was nice regardless. Had him dead to rights, but then saw his rack.

DOH!!

Perhaps a paitient bow-hunter will tag him before gun season.
