Another deer falls victim to my Mathews Ultra 2. This time at 32 yards. Dang, I love shooting this bow :-)

I can almost taste the jerky and summer sausage now

Good Shootin, Tell us the whole story. How far did he run, did you find your arrow? What arrow and broadhead?
Go out and get yourself a Concealed Weapons License. I did. :gun4:

The mornings are finally getting colder with Saturday morning about 33F. I saw a spike about 50 to 60 yards to my left walking towards but behind me. I figured about where he would be coming through the brush and because of the brush I only had one 5 foot opening at approximately 32 yards where I could shoot without fear of hitting a twig etc. As he approached the spot I drew and as he entered the opening I yelled"hey". He stopped dead in his tracks, I ensured the kisser button was in the corner of my mouth, the string touching the tip of my nose. I put the pin on his vitals making sure it was the 30 yard pin and slowly squeezed the release trigger.

The Gold Tip XT Hunter carbon shaft tipped with a 100 grain Rocket Steelhead expanding broadhead did its job. The arrow went straight in the vitals area taking both lungs. He ran about 15 yards and fell to the ground. When I got down I found my arrow and the luminescent green fletchings were covered with bright red blood. Looking to the left about 15 yards there he lay ... the rest is history and almost on the dinner table ...
