For the 30-30, it is starting out with about 100 ft-lbs more energy, and using about a .30 ballistic coeficient. For the handloader, ME is probably doable already, and I think you could alway use a pointed standard bullet in a 2-shot lever rifle. One in the chamber and one in the tube.
Im a little leary of how a rubber tip is going to hold up for accuracy while being driven at mach 2. I assume Hornady has done a fair amount of testing however. Also, how many load/unload cycles will the tip withstand. For those hunters who seldom shoot deer :grin:
