I'm 100% aware i already posted similar but i couldn't find it and had to know  . Due to a handi usual dis-like for bipods, in what form does one hold the rifle in the prone position. Me i hold the rifle by the hinge, which is my 2nd Q is if thats like recreating a bench rest and the best bet for offhand shooting, and each arm is angled to form a sort of bipod shape then i bring up my right leg to form two rough 90degree angles. But i've never read up on prone positions so odds are im off some.

As for my 2nd Q i'll probably find out tomarrow when i hit the range.

Im not using a true military sling but a hunting/carrying sling..so I use a slightly modifed military position...while using the hasty position on the strap...body at a 45 degree angle to the target if possible..elbows down..pulling back on the strap pushing the stock into my shoulder...left hand behind the swivel towards the hinge pin..
