Ok,I may be dead wrong, but i think i can sight in a gun with one shot, maybe this is common knowledge and maybe not, here goes.
My logic is this, once you know where the bullet is hitting you just have to tell the scope.
First,from a VERY steady rest,shoot at a bullseye
THEN,go to the target and find where the bullet struck, put an orange dot or other easy to see point of reference.
Go back to the bench and strap the gun into the rest, with the crosshairs on the bullseye.
NOW turn the adjustments until the crosshairs point at the orange dot.
shoot to confirm
(ok you may want to shoot a 3 shot group first to make SURE that's really where the rifle is hitting before moving the windage and elevation)
Does anyone already know of this method?
Anyone see why it won't work?
when i get my rifle back i'm gonna test the theory, lol
