FFFFg in a C&B revolver

I have a can of GOEX FFFFg powder that I use for priming my flintlocks but I was wondering if anybody has used it in their C&B revolvers? It seems like a good choice for the little .31 cal versions.

I was reading in Guns of the Old West today, and the author of an article about 31 cal. colts was using 4f. Had higher velocity. I wish I had it here in front of me. Sorry cant be more help. DM

the pedersoli instruction booklet mentions that 4f is suitable for the 31 revolvers.

Russianblood, I use 4f in all my .31 pistols with good result. The 4f is not quite as accurate as 3f but I am going to 4f Swiss and see if I can get more speed and accuracy out of my .31's. They have had a steady diet of 4f for a long time now and I cannot see any problem. I shoot as much as 200 times a month. Mind the wedge tension and you will not have a problem.

Sam Fadala has info on 4f in the Ruger Old Army--believe its the 1st edition of "The complete book of black powder"  Basically it will attain the velocity of a 3f 777 load.  The 4f load is specific to the Ruger.
