I here there locks are not  so,so, also they seem not to like powder pellets over loose powder.
I would go with a good used t/c or lyman flinter ,I seen an add the other day
gentleman was selling a Renegade flinter is excellent condition for $200.00
bucks.I have purchase items from him before he has an excellent feeback on the forum. :D

Owned one at one time, wasnt very well made and it didnt shoot pellets reliably. I got rid of it and got lymans, they are good rifles.

Traditions PA Pellet Flintlock Good or Bad?

I have owned a PA Pellet for over three years now and the only problem I have had was the cheap sights that came with the gun. The sights are plastic fiber optics, very very cheap sights. The rear ramp cracked and the front sight kept sliding out of the dovetail. I bought a set of RMC Fiber Optics and cured that problem. The gun has very good accuracy with sabots & ffg blackpowder for my hunting load and .015 patch .490 round ball with light charges of fffg blackpowder for my target/plinking load. I have tried pyrodex pellets a few times with mixed results, if the touch hole was primed with a few grains of ffffg the gun would fire rather quickly. The removable breech plug is a plus for ease of cleaning and removing stuck balls. I have fired the gun well over 300 times with a mix of light plinking round ball loads to heavy hunting loads and the gun never let me down mechanically yet. I own three flintlocks T/C Renegade,CVA Hawken and the PA Pellet. When I head to the woods or a muzzleloader shoot the pa pellet is the one going with me.
