Reloading for.22-250
« on: November 04, 2005, 03:10:35 AM »
I own a Remington 700 with the 26" Bull Barrel in .22-250.  I was wondering if anybody had a good load worked up?  I will probably be shooting a 55 Grain Bullet.  I would like to use either the V-Max or Ballistic Tip.

While I prefer 50 grain V-maxs, I've also shot 55 grain V-max's and ballistic tips from my heavy barreled Savage Model 12.  With both bullet weights, W-760 is my gun's favorite powder pushing those bullets.  I've also had good results with H380, IMR4064 and Varget.

Ricciardelli's H-380 load is what I have used with the same results.

36.5 grs of Varget
55gr Nosler BT or V-maxs
Win brass
Win primers
I have only shot the V-max at paper and they group good. I have always used BT on coyotes . VM
