Heavy barrel in .22 Hornet?
« on: November 04, 2005, 06:26:27 PM »
Does anyone know what the heaviest barrel or contour is that can be had for the .22 Hornet in the Handi-Rifle?  I'll order the appropriate barrel via the barrel accessory program.

What I actually want to do is have the Hornet modified to a "Kilburne" or K-Hornet, but I don't want to go with a thin, wippy barrel.

Thanks ahead of time for your comments.   8)

Barrel #224 is the standard weight barrel, the other 2 are superlights with iron sights or scope mount. There is no bull barrel hornet.

My 22 hornet barrel is .675 in at the muzzle. If that helps it is
standard wt I think, 22 in long. No longer 22 hornet, Now 219

Bull barrel! ...... ?

That's what I wish they offered.

My desire is to shoot the Kilbourne or "K" Hornet, but I'll probably have to settle on whatever they insist on providing for me in terms of barrel contour, then get the chamber modified accordingly.
