Sell? Trade? Value? How about some help here?

I have a 10" T-3 (1972) .45LC/.410 octagonal barrel with comp holes & choke extension I no longer use.  I also have the original spring release fore end.  I have had it about 7 years and put perhaps 75 rounds through it.  I am starting to look for a 6mmTCU Super 14 for prairie dogs and coyotes.  In order to finance the new barrel and a scope, I am going to sell or trade the old one.  The barrel I have is defintely used.  There is holster wear on the sides of the choke extension and the usual marks from opening and closing the action.  It has the long front sight and fully adjustable rear sight.  What is the value of this barrel? Would I be better off to sell the barrel and foreend separately, or together?  What is  a reasonable value for this?  Do any of you have a 6mm TCU you wanna trade or trade +$$ for this?  How about a good variable power scope?  I am trying to weigh whether I should sell this via eBay or forum classifieds.  I have a pretty good handle on the value of my other guns, but am unfamiliar with used Contender prices and unsure if the age/type of this barrel makes it worth any more.  Any insights or suggestions are welcome.  Thanks, Bob

Put it in the Barrel Trading Section just below this forum. You'll get the most action there. As for value...depends on what you want out of it and if anyone is willing to pay it. I've seen these barrels in good condition go from $125 to $175, saw one go for under 100 that was in poor condition. Ed's got a 45/410 T-2 on his web site for $165 if that gives you a benchmark.

yep, try it here first, either in the barrel trading section or the classifieds. not sure about your values, just check around.
 :wink: ohhh! that 6tcu, if you get one of those, i bet you shoot it more than 75 times in 7 years. you'll shoot it that much in the first week or two. got one, love it. NOT FOR SALE :-D
