Give me a few more weeks I'm working this problem :grin:
I'll be using a 300-310gr gas checked Lee or RCBS bullet.

I still need to slug my barrel to see were I have to go on the bullet size. The bullet will be .001" over bore size.
My alloy is an altered #2 Lyman (Mix was made of the fallowing: 40lbs Wheel Weights, 4lbs 50/50 Bar solder, and 4lbs of straight Lyno) this mix should be around 20-22bhn.

My starting load will be about the same as my 300xtp(I'll drop .5 grains lower) This will get me really close to 2000fps with a 300gr cast bullet.

I'll keep you all posted on this. The 445sm is so much fun to shoot that I have to start casting bullets. Store bought bullets are eating into fun money :)

A starting load of AA1680 with the above Lee bullet sized .430 gives me just a hair over 1600 fps in my handi. Have not been able to check the accuracy as of yet. :D
