is it just me or does anyone else have trouble getting into graybeards in the am??
i know its not my comp cause i can go to all the other sights i like going to before going to work
is there something im missing??
i really like coming in here before work and checking out the classifieds and all

Me thinks its a busy server on the GBO end, I can open several other windows at the same time to visit other sites with fast loading of all the other sites, but GBO doesn't open or is real slow.....So I know it's not my ISP....But for what we're paying, I'm not gonna complain, I just get here when I can, it always works, just not always when I first try. We just need to live with it the way it is, it's better than living without it, I got the GBO withdrawals on the day of the hack attack!!

I get up at 430am for work and occasionally I have trouble but usually a refresh or two gets me in. I suspect that whoever is hosting GB has to do drive maintenance sometime and the early am might be that time.

I usually log on around 6:30am and don't generally have any problems.

I usually log on around 6:45 AM and I have had problems. Sometimes, I just have to try again later...

Most of the time I also have trouble with it being slow at about 5:30 am.

Well I have trouble with it being slow at all different times, including the early mornings. It's not my server as Quick and I can accomplish the same tasks he mentioned while waiting for a load-up at GBO. It's actually come to the point that I don't know for sure if it's gonna run s-l-o-o-o-o-w, fast, or not at all. I just try and see, if I get in, great, if not........well it can get quite frustrating, but like has been stated, but from a different take I guess........."you get what you pay for".............and since we're paying nothing to be on this fine site, then sometimes that's what we get when we try to log on..........nothing.

I get home from the salt mines anywhere from 12am to 4pm Pacific time. Almost every time I try to log on from 2:00 to 4:00am, I can't log on or the site is painfully slow. I stopped trying and I wait until morning.

If anyone has ever noticed I mostly post between 12:30 am CST and 6:30 am CST (I work the graveyard shift)
I go to lunch between 3:30am-4:00am when I get my machines fired back up, I'll get back on about 4:10am or so and the site will time out or is slower than a slug in the winter.
This usually clears up between 5:30-6:30am.
If the site is slower other time I wouldnÂ’t know as I'm not on it generally.

I suspect Haywire is correct in his theory that the host does their back up and system maintenance in the early morning hours. But as Quick said for what we are paying we don't have any right to gripe.

I agree with Brett and Haywire! The only time I really have any trouble is real early...usually 4:30-5:30 AM. I am always up at 4, even on the weekends, and it seems as though that time frame is pretty consistant for not loading or loading slow. I sometimes think that is the Lord's way of telling me "Me First". It usually loads fine after I have spent some time in reading and meditation...and that's a better way to start my day. Just seems to make the day better!
