I am asahmed. I feel so dirty. I did the unthinkable. I bought a Magnum. Not just any Magum. A Weatherby Magnum. I haven't been this distraught since the time I accidenty picked up a Ruger. Washed my hands for hours.
Nowe that I have crossed over to the Dark Side (cue Lord Weatherby's music) I have decisions to make, Since the Mueller 3.5x10x44 was unceremoniously removed to put on the evil Weatherby magnum, I am left with a Stark Naked Tupperware Special without a decent scope on it is...well...a nekked gun. Gotta fix that situation.
I have a Trashco 3x9x40, Tha scope did eceptional service on the Tupperware Gun. But it still a Trashco. I pulled the Trashco and installed it a H&R sportster 17HMR. Gonna leave it there. Perfect for head shots on wabbits and other timid woodland creatures
Or there is the Buffalo Gun. Real accurate with the 4x40 Nikon. Good scope, has taken some heavy pounding and never missed a beat. Good review but I think my is made up
Nikon goes to the 270 Tupperware Special. Turns the Tupperware Special into a simple, reliable and deadly deer rifle.
Either a Willams FP or Smith Ladder sight goes on the Buffalo Gun. Scope looks pretty out of place on a BC With some work on my part I should be able to give a good accounting of myself with the BC. Now to pick which sight.
Which sight is easier to use and faster to get up on target? More inportant which sight is just plain easier for me, an old fogey in training. to use?
Thanks
