find yourself about a 10 to 20 year old glenfield or marlin mod 60 tube fed, where the tube goes all the way to the end of the bbl. you will now hold 18 +1 rounds of ammo.  Man that is a lot of shootin! you will also be hard pressed to beat the accuracy, all for about 100. bucks.

My Iszmash Biathlon Basic with Bushnell 3200 Elite 10x40 mildot scope. Dime sized groups at 50 yds with Velocitors. Whistle pigs at 200 yards are fairly routine.

my favorite is dad's 69a winchester and 3-9 simmons scope, but I shoot a savage mark II BV the most because of the 69's value.  Also have a 10/22 but don't like the carbine size (free gun so won't gripe too loud :) )

I guess it would be my left hand Remington 541-S.  It has a 2x6 Williams scope on it, and it's a real shooter.

Over the years i've owned it, i coudn't begin to count how many ruff grouse, ptarmagian and rabbits i've put in my freezer with it.

It is the Ruger 10/22 Dad got me when I turned 10...that thing is a killing machine.  It has always been the weapon of choice when the hounds are chasing rabbits.  Got one in the box in my closet for my son's 10th birthday...only 9 years to go!

You all are right on with the Nylon 66. A while back outdoor life or field and stream had an article about the top 100 guns of all time. The nylon 66 was in it of course. Had a nice little right up about it. My first tree rat (aka Gray Squirrel), which was the first "game" animal I ever shot as a kid was with a 66.

Ruger 10/22 rank up there on my list too. I'm not talking the tricked out high dollar rigs. I have a bone stock, plain jane 10/22 with a bushnell 3-9x40. It would be scary to know how many squirrels and other critters I have taken with that gun!

I have been using a Ruger 10/22 for many years . They are durable ,accurate ,handy little rifles. I have taught many a youngster how to shoot with one.  If I were restricted to one gun , it would be the Ruger 10/22.

The favorite that I own has to be the Ruger 10/22.  Rugged, Reliable, Ruger!

If I had a grand or so to spend on a rimfire, I'd love to own one of those Kimber classic style sporters.

favourite semi is my Stevens 87b. more accurate with open sights then a lot of scoped 10/22's and with a Weaver B4 mounted it's deadly. over 50 years old and looks brand new, and no it doesn't jam every other round. favorite bolt is a battered beaten hand me down Cooey model 60 repeater, but a Winchester 69a  is looking mighty tempting....

i HATE 10/22's. everyone and there dog has one.

Had a 10/22 for 26 years and finally bought a second .22.  My Henry H001T is definately the greatest thing since sliced bread.  Ya, she's silky smooth, but that incredible trigger and tack-driving accuracy totally suprise me!

Guess it's a toss between my Marlin 99M1 and my Winchester 320. But I also love my Marlin 60. And now I'm lusting for a Browning BuckMark Rifle. (Will this never end?)

Well, I can't say it's the best, but I have been shooting my Remington 552 Speedmaster rifle for over 40-years.  It'll pick the eyes out of tick at 100.....okay, just a little exageration!

I have several .22's: Ruger, Hi-Standard, H&R, etc., etc.  However, without doubt, the 552 is most accurate.

Iron sights - Browning BL22.  Gun carries like a dream and is real purty.
Scope - CZ 452 American with Leopold 2 x 7 x33 VX1.  Sub half-inch groups at 50 yards with Winchester Power Points (deadly on tree rats).

Hey Casull,

Yeah, I picked one up several weeks ago.  Shoots like a dream!  Bad thing is my wife has now laid claim to it.  Guess I'll have to get another one.

Hi kgillard,

Which one did your wife liberate from you, the Browning or the CZ?  Either way, she sounds like a smart woman.
